Horizon Maple Syrup Grade C Organic

Horizon Maple Syrup Grade C Organic

Horizon Syrup (Grade C) is a natural sweetener manufactured to serve as a dressing for crepes, waffles and pancakes or for baking, with rich flavour and dark amber colour. It is used in vegan and gluten-free diets as a substitute for honey.

At the beginning of the four to six weeks harvest period, the maple sap is still thinner. The light syrup gained from this is referred to as Grade A Syrup. It has a fine, well-balanced flavour. The maple syrup of the last period is somewhat dark and is named Grade C. Grade C maple syrup has a slightly stronger taste than Grade A. It is rich in calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, manganese, sodium, iron and zinc. The grading does not relate to the mineral content, but rather indicates the soil properties of the harvesting area.

Maple Syrup from Horizon is used for its natural and even medicinal properties that it obtains because it comes from the same plant and its sage, and is not used any kind of chemical in the extraction process. Only its sage is boiled at a certain temperature to form the syrup by evaporation of water.
